The season started filming July 15.
This is what we know so far about this season in general terms:
(1) There is an event that shape the direction of the series and will explore the characters and relationship of Castle and Beckett.
(2) There is a new regular on the show. A security specialist named Haley who is a former Scotland Yard police officer who will apparently be spending a lot of time with Castle.
(3) The first two episodes are a two-parter and are named XX/XY. Both parts are written by new showrunners Alexi Hawley and Terence Paul Winter. Part one is directed by Rob Bowman and part two is directed by Paul Holahan.
